IMMACULATA, Pa. – A pair of goals from senior midfielder Jess Porcelan (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and freshman forward Ama Achiaw (Damascus, Md./Westover School) gave Ursinus a 5-0 win over Immaculata Thursday night in non-conference women's soccer play.
In addition to the shutout on the scoreboard, Ursinus also held the Mighty Macs without a shot and a corner kick in the game.
Junior forward Leah Shaw (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) also had a goal, while freshman forward Valerie Bedrock (Waldwick, N.J./Ramsey) netted an assist in the win.
Achiaw started the scoring at 1:38, followed by Shaw's lone goal at 11:11 for a 2-0 first half lead. Achiaw's second goal of the game came at 50:23 for a 3-0 lead.
Porcelan scored back-to-back goals in the 85th and 88th minutes, with Bedrock assisting at the goal in the 85th minute.
Ursinus takes on Washington College Wednesday.
