HOBOKEN, N.J. – Ursinus needed just one goal on Sunday to defeat New York University by the score of 1-0 in women's soccer play in the second day of the Stevens Engineering Cup.

The lone goal came at 73:54 as senior defender Monica Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) scored off of a corner kick from freshman forward Valerie Bedrock (Waldwick, N.J./Ramsey). Oliveto's shot slipped past NYU(3-1) goalkeeper Jen Chuck.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) made five saves in relief of starter sophomore Natasha Tonia (Franklinville, N.J./Saint Joseph).

Ursinus (2-3) will host Gettysburg Friday night.
