Women's Soccer falls to Moravian, 2-1

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Moravian scored two goals in the span of less than two minutes as the Greyhounds (3-0) defeated Ursinus (1-2) 2-1 on Wednesday night in women's soccer play. It was the home opener for the Bears, and the first women's soccer match on the newly renovated Patterson Field.

Ursinus took a 1-0 lead in the 47th minute as freshman forward Alexis Haug (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) scored from about ten-yards out on a pass from senior forward Alex Shivers (Pine Beach, N.J./Toms River South).

Moravian tied the score at 1-all when sophomore midfielder Taylor DiSora scored in the 63rd minute, followed by a goal from freshman forward Quanie Lightner in the 65th minute on an assist by senior forward Arielle Caldas.

Ursinus did hold a 15-10 advantage in shots, and got five saves from sophomore goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township).
