Women's Soccer blanked by Salisbury, 1-0

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – In a defensive struggle, Salisbury scored in the 15th minute as the Sea Gulls (1-0-1) defeated Ursinus (0-1) 1-0 in the third game of the Farmingdale State Tournament hosted by Farmingdale State on Long Island Saturday afternoon.

Sea Gull midfielder Amanda Miele scored the lone goal of the game as the Sea Gulls held a 7-3 advantage on shots.

Ursinus had two shots on goal as senior forward Kelly Boatwright (Riverton, N.J./ Palmyra) fired one at 19:41, with sophomore forward Sarah Cogswell (Shepherstown, W.Va./Jefferson) taking a shot at 56:39. Both were saved by Michelle Conrad.

For Ursinus, sophomore goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) had one shot save.

Ursinus will take on Bard Sunday afternoon.
