Women's Soccer doubled up by Haverford, 4-2

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Haverford freshman forward Meg Boyer had two goals as the Fords (6-4, 3-2 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (5-5, 2-3 Centennial) 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon in women's soccer conference play.

Boyer scored her two goals in the span of just under four minutes, giving Haverford a 3-0 halftime lead.

For Ursinus, freshman forward Sarah Cogswell (Shepherdstown, W.Va./Jefferson) and junior defender Monica Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) had goals in the second half.

Haverford took a 1-0 lead 2:08 in as senior midfielder Michele Buonora scored on as assist from freshman forward Sophie Eiger.

Boyer scored her first goal at 40:55 to give Haverford a 2-0 lead, followed by Boyer's second marker at 44:41 for a 3-0 intermission lead.

Ursinus answered at 51:56 as Cogswell scored unassisted on a blast into the top right corner, making the score 3-1. Haverford increased the lead again to three goals at 4-1 as sophomore forward Katie Bigay scored on a header following a corner from junior midfielder Anna Rayne.

Ursinus' final goal came with just 54 seconds left in the match as Oliveto scored on an assist from sophomore forward Cecilia Mansson (Monroe, N.J./Union Catholic).

Haverford senior goalkeeper Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds made ten saves for the Fords, with Ursinus freshman goalkeeper Kara DiJoseph (Turnersville, N.J./Washington Township) making three saves for the Bears.
