HOBOKEN, N.J. - Freshman forward Cecilia Mansson
(Monroe, Conn./Masuk) scored her first collegiate goal at
52:29 as Ursinus (2-2) finished the Stevens Engineering Cup
tournament with a 3-2 win over host Stevens (0-6) Sunday afternoon
in women's soccer play.
Mansson scored on an assist by freshman forward Leah Shaw
(Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional).
The Bears trailed 1-0 at 16:12 when Kathleen Schuckers scored
unassisted for a 1-0 Ducks lead. Sophomore defender Monica
Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) scored for the
Bears to tie the score at 1-all at 30:08 on an assist by senior
forward Jess Gunzelman (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca).
Oliveto snuck the shot between the goalkeepers legs.
Schuckers scored the second goal of the game for Stevens, on an
assist from Katria Misilo at 35 minutes even for a 2-1 Ducks
lead.
Shaw then scored on a header at 39:52 to tie the score at
2-all.
Freshman goalkeeper Justine Harvey (Accident, Md./Northern
Garrett Co.) made six saves for the Bears, who will open
Centennial play on Saturday at Franklin & Marshall.
