Adams and Nagle Collect 2nd-Place Finishes at Wilkes.

WILKES-BARRE, PA.Terry Adams (125lbs) and Gary Nagle (184lbs) both posted second-place finishes to pace the Ursinus College wrestling team at a loaded Wilkes Invitational on Wednesday.  

Adams returning from an injury was able to pin each of his first two opponents in the first period to reach the semifinals. After recording a 5-2 decision in the semi's, Adams fell by decision to Austin Fashouer 11-5.  

Nagle also continued his strong season by collecting a second-place finish in the 184lb bracket. Nagle collected a pin in his first match before knocking off the #2 seed with a 4-3 decision in the semifinals. Nagle fell in the finals by major decision to the #1 seed Colton Babcock from Wilkes.  

Senior Alex Koenig represented well at 174lbs, collecting a 6th place finish after winning three of his five matches. Koenig picked up a 57-second pin fall to open the invitational before falling to the #2 seed Hunter Thompson from Shenandoah. In the consolation bracket, Koenig pinned his next two opponents including a 55-second fall to reach the consolation quarterfinals.  

The Bears finished 6th overall, recording 53.5 team points and will return home for Winter Break before returning to action for the Manganaro Duals on Saturday, January 8th
