NWCA Division III Academic Awards
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Ursinus College senior Zachary Goranson was honored on the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III All-Academic Team.
Goranson is a two-time recipient of the award, which requires at least a 3.20 GPA. Wrestlers can be considered if they placed in the top six at their respective regional championship, compiled a win percentage of .500 or better, and competed in at least half of their institution's scheduled contests; they can also garner the accolade with a win percentage of .670 or better while participating in half of the scheduled NCAA events.
A mathematics major with a 3.62 GPA, Goranson finished his final campaign with a record of 19-12 at 165 pounds. He finished fourth at the Centennial Conference championship.
