HERSHEY, Pa. – Ursinus College sophomore 149 pounder Derek Arnold (Centerville, Va./Westfield) finished up his run at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships by finishing fourth on Saturday morning, cementing All-American status.

In his opening semifinal match, he lost to Vincent Fava of Delaware Valley by an 8-4 score to fall into the consolation bracket. Against Fava, he was down 4-2 after one period Fava had two takedowns in the opening period.

In the second, Fava scored another takedown early in the period, before Arnold got an escape. With 23 seconds left in the period, Fava scored another takedown to go up 8-3 heading into the third. In the third, Arnold was awarded three penalty points as Fava was called for stalling four times.

In his first consolation bout against Elroy Perkin of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Arnold led 4-1 after the first period on two takedowns. He went up 5-1 after the second period on an escape, then got a point in the third on riding time.

In the third place bout against Brad Mayville of RIT, he was pinned at 5:58.
