Blaszkow, Women's Lax Earn Academic Honors

IWLCA Release

SPARKS, Md. – The Ursinus College women's lacrosse team and rising senior Emily Blaszkow each received academic honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

The Bears were named an Academic Honor Squad for the third consecutive year, while Blaszkow was one of a select group of standout student-athletes to be recognized on the IWLCA Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

Ursinus was one of 313 schools across all NCAA divisions and the NAIA to garner Academic Honor Squad laurels, given to those programs that posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2017-18 academic year.

The Academic Honor Roll recognizes juniors, seniors, and graduate students who posted a GPA of 3.50 or higher. Blaszkow is the first Bear to earn that distinction since Jessica Hill in 2016.

One of 26 Centennial Conference student-athletes to be placed on the Academic Honor Roll, Blaszkow joined rising juniors Rachel Dunne and Haley O'Malley, rising seniors Emily DiGiorgio and Kaci McNeave, and recent graduate Amy Lee on the CC Academic Honor Roll this spring.
