Women's Lax Falls in Finale at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. – Franny Liberatoscioli scored three goals to give herself exactly 100 career points as the Ursinus College women's lacrosse team dropped a 21-10 season finale at Dickinson on Saturday.

Liberatoscioli netted two first-half markers and added a third just over a minute into the second stanza to hit the century mark in her last game for the Bears (3-12, 1-8).

Jules Krasutsky registered two goals and Taylor DeBernardi had one, while Alycia Hildebrand and Amy Lee also suited up for the final time for Ursinus.

Erika Bloes finished with five goals and three assists for the playoff-bound Red Devils (8-8, 5-4), who scored the game's first six goals and shut out the Bears until the 8:39 mark of the first half.

Junior Emily DiGiorgio produced two goals to end the season with a career-high 31. Classmate Kaci McNeave handed out an assist and racked up nine draw controls, finishing the regular season in fourth place in the CC with 81.

Liberatoscioli started the scoring for Ursinus after more than 21 minutes had passed, by which time the Red Devils has opened up a 6-0 lead. Freshman Hannah Reape and Krasutsky scored before Liberatoscioli found the back of the net for the second time on a free-position shot with 2:02 remaining.

The Bears traded goals with Dickinson for much of the second half but never got closer than six as the home side continued to expand its lead down the stretch.

Mack Maurer notched three goals and four players recorded two for the Red Devils, which owned a 40-18 advantage in shots and turned it over 11 times to the Bears' 19. Thanks in large part to McNeave, Ursinus won 17 of 32 draws.

Freshman Molly Divis led Ursinus with three ground balls and sophomore Haley O'Malley also found her way into the scoring column with her seventh goal of the season.

Liberatscioli piled up 117 career draw controls and 110 ground balls in addition to her 100 points, which included 81 goals and 19 assists.
