Women's Lacrosse wins second straight with victory over Scranton

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus got three goals each from senior attack Lauren Garganio (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) and freshman attack Brynn Dietzel (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) as the Bears (4-7) won their second straight game with a 15-9 decision over Scranton (6-4) Tuesday afternoon in women's lacrosse play.

Dietzel scored two of her three goals in the final three minutes, while Garganio scored three assists.

Ursinus also got two goals each from junior midfielder Nicole Kovacs (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) and freshman forward Devin Brakel (West Windsor, N.J./West-Windsor Plainsboro).

Ursinus took the lead for good with a 6-0 run that spanned 17 minutes to take the victory.

Brakel finished with five draw controls, with freshman midfielder Mary Deliberti (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield-Ludlowe) grabbing four.

Junior goalkeeper Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) had six ground balls and ten saves on the day. 

Ursinus visits Gettysburg Saturday.
