COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Ursinus senior midfielder Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) had six goals, with sophomore midfielder Nicole Kovacs (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) adding in three as the Bears (7-4) handed Drew (5-6) a 17-11 loss Wednesday night in women's lacrosse non-conference play.
The Bears outscored the Rangers 8-3 in the second half to break open a 9-8 lead at intermission.
Freshman midfielder Kitty Dawson (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough), sophomore attack Amber Moyer (Womelsdorf, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and senior attack Kim Peifer (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) each added two goals in the win.
Peifer added in eight draw controls, with sophomore defender Courtney Stewart (Burlington, N.J./Pennington) picking up three ground balls.
In goal, sophomore Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) made 12 saves.
Ursinus will go to fourth-ranked Gettysburg on Saturday.
