EWING, N.J. – Ursinus hung around with fourth-ranked TCNJ on Tuesday night, before the Lions (6-1) scored 11 straight goals on their way to a 13-2 win over Ursinus (4-2) in women's lacrosse play.
Ursinus got goals from senior midfielder Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and sophomore midfielder Nicole Kovacs (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township), with Kovacs coming on a free position shot 6:34 left in the game.
Thren had four draw controls, while senior attack Kim Peifer (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) had two. Senior attack Emily Diehl (Lebanon, N.J./Voorhees) picked up two ground balls in the loss.
In goal, sophomore Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va./Langley) had 11 saves.
Ursinus will host Rowan on Thursday.
