Women's Lacrosse downed by Rowan, 13-6

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Leading 4-3 with 57 seconds left in the first half, Ursinus saw Rowan score the next ten goals of the game as the Profs (2-3) defeated Ursinus (3-4) 13-6 on Thursday afternoon in women's lacrosse play.

Rowan scored a goal with just six seconds left in the first half to tie the score at 4-all, before scoring nine straight to put the game out of reach.

For Ursinus, junior midfielder Alyssa Thren (Barto, Pa.) and senior attack Lindsey Urban (Doylestown, Pa.) each had two goals, with senior midfielder Allison Furman (Gilbertsville, Pa.) and sophomore attack Lauren Garganio (Medford, N.J.) each netting one. Junior attack Emily Diehl (Lebanon, N.J.) posted an assist.

Defensively, Furman, senior defender Kim Johnson (Sewell, N.J.) and sophomore midfielder Elizabeth Chatburn (Dresher, Pa.) each had two caused turnovers, with six players netting two ground balls each. Emily Hummel had four draw controls.

In goal, senior Emma Bacharach (Lancaster, Pa.) had four saves in the first half, with sophomore Jackie Kimmel (Hatboro, Pa.) making three saves in 16 minutes. Freshman Riley Pembroke (Great Falls, Va.) had seven saves in the final 14 minutes.

Ursinus goes to Dickinson on Saturday.
