Women's Lacrosse breezes past Bryn Mawr, 13-3

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Ursinus scored the first nine goals of the game as the Bears (8-3, 3-1 Centennial) defeated Bryn Mawr (0-9, 0-5 Centennial) 13-3 on Thursday afternoon in women’s lacrosse play.

Junior attack Lindsey Urban (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) had a game-high five goals, with junior midfielder Allison Furman (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) adding in four.

Furman also added in two assists in the win.

Defensively, junior midfielder Emily Hummel (Lumberton, N.J./Moorestown Friends), freshman attack Elizabeth Chatburn (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) and sophomore midfielder Kristen Wampole (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) each had three groundballs. Hummel picked up three draw controls, with Chatburn adding in two.

Freshman attack Meghan Morley (West Chester, Pa./Westtown) had three caused turnovers in the win.

In goal, senior Alex McBride (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) got the win as she held Bryn Mawr scoreless. Junior Emma Bacharach (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) had two saves in 25 minutes, while freshman goalkeeper Jackie Kimmel (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) had two saves in 20 minutes of play.
