Women's Lacrosse falls to nationally-ranked F&M, 17-6

LANCASTER, Pa. – Second-ranked Franklin & Marshall scored the first six goals of the game as the Diplomats (7-1, 3-0 Centennial) defeated Ursinus (6-3, 2-1 Centennial) 17-6 in women’s lacrosse play Saturday afternoon.

 

For the Bears, sophomore midfielder Emily Diehl (Lebanon, N.J./Voorhees) and junior midfielder Allison Furman (Glibertsville, Pa./Boyertown) each finished with two goals and one assist. Junior attack Lindsay Urban (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) and junior midfielder Emily Hummel (Lumberton, N.J./Moorestown Friends) each had a goal for Ursinus.

 

Defensively, junior defender Kim Johnson (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) had four groundballs, while senior goalkeeper Alex McBride (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township) had 14 saves and two groundballs. Junior goalkeeper Emma Bacharach (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) had one save in 12 minutes of play.

 

Ursinus will host Rowan on Tuesday.
