Leand carded the first two sub-90 rounds of her career in the Bears' first two matches of the 2016-17 season. The sophomore shot a career-best 85 at the McDaniel Fall Invitational, then followed with an 89 as the Bears captured the team crown at their home fall invitational on September 27. Leand is part of a strong sophomore class for Ursinus; Rebecca Chiger was the first Bear ever to earn All-Centennial Conference honors a year ago, and Emily McGarrigle placed 10th at the CC Championships. Leand finished 11th at the conference tournament and looks primed to improve upon that position this year.
