Lamarca Shines for Women's Golf

RISING SUN, Md. – Jessica Lamarca shattered her previous collegiate best on the second day of the fall Revolutionary Classic as the Ursinus College women's golf team hosted the first of its two annual two-day tournaments at Chesapeake Bay Golf Club.

Lamarca was sensational on Sunday afternoon, the best of a strong day as all five Bears lowered their scores from the previous day. She posted six pars – five of them coming on the back nine – and had only one score higher than bogey. Lamarca shot a 40 on the back nine to close out a terrific performance that left her nearly 10 strokes clear of her former career low. She finished tied for 19th in a field of 51 with a 36-hole 182 (96-86).

Carolyn DeCicco trimmed two shots from her first round with a 104 on Sunday, tying for 35th with a 210 (106-104).

Alissa DiGuglielmo had a solid weekend with a 246 (125-121) and secured a new personal best of her own on Sunday. Suzanne Angermeier finished with a 258 (130-128).

Caela Flake rounded out the Bears' contingent with a 298 (150-148), closing with a new collegiate best in the second round.

Ursinus finishes up the fall season at the Arcadia Invitational on October 28.
