Women's Golf Plays Final CC Tune-Up

LANCASTER, Pa. – Playing for the sixth time in eight days, the Ursinus College women's golf team finished sixth at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational held at Conestoga Country Club.

Battling less than ideal conditions, the Bears had a team total of 446 in their final tune-up for the Centennial Conference Championship. The host Bullets took first place with a 350, 19 shots clear of runner-up Marymount (Va.).

Junior Emily McGarrigle led Ursinus with a 93, tying for eighth overall in a field of 26. Senior Sarah Thompson shot a 96 to finish in 11th.

Senior Meaghan Corbin carded a 106 and classmate Shelby Bryant finished the course in 151 strokes.

The Bears return to Conestoga Country Club for the two-day conference championship, which gets underway on Saturday.
