Chiger shatters school record for Women's Golf

ELKTON, Md. – Ursinus Freshman Rebecca Chiger led the Bears to an impressive second-place finish at The Revolutionary Collegiate Golf Classic at Patriots Glen National.

Chiger led in style with a new school record of 80, and also eclipsed the two day school record by posting a two-round total of 168. The host Bears came from behind to finish in second place by a mere one stroke, and finished behind Division II LIU-Post.

The team also tied the school record set on September 22nd with a 355.  Their two day total of 727 smashed the two day school record by a whopping 124 strokes. 

Sarah Thompson continued her consistent play shooting 184, posting a pair of 92s.  Matison Leand posted 187 (96-91) followed by Rebecca Honor at 188 (96-92). 

Emily McGarrigle shot 189 (96-93) followed by Maddie Noonan who toughed out a 210 (104-106).  Shelby Bryant continued to improve with a 280 (143-137).  

The women finish their competitive fall schedule at Alvernia on October 14th.
