Women's Basketball beaten by Washington College, 59-44

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College held Ursinus to just 23.7 percent shooting as the Shorewomen (5-11 Centennial, 9-14) defeated Ursinus (6-10 Centennial, 8-15) 59-44 at the Cain Athletic Center on Saturday afternoon.

Ursinus was led by Olivia Kane who had a team high 11 points off the bench, with junior guard Alyssa Poliment scoring nine. The Bears as a team shot 20 percent in the first half and 26 percent in the second half.

Washington College was led by 15 points from Emily Hubley and ten points and 13 rebounds from Carley Kendall. Brynne Brouse and Jackie O'Connell each had nine points.

Ursinus led by five points in the first half, before Washington rallied to take a 29-23 lead at intermission. The Shorewomen made just eight turnovers in the game.







Ursinus will host Haverford on Wednesday.
