Women's Basketball snaps skid with win over Dickinson, 62-44

CARLISLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's basketball team snapped its four game losing streak on Saturday afternoon with a 62-44 win over Dickinson at the Kline Center.

Ursinus (3-3 Centennial, 4-8) got 23 points from junior forward Jessica Porada, while junior forward Caroline Shimrock added in 12 and sophomore guard Gianna Pownall had ten.

For Dickinson, Mary Martin scored ten and had a game-high 16 rebounds.

Leading by five at halftime, Ursinus held Dickinson to just 31 percent shooting the second half and allowed just one three pointer over the final twenty minutes.

Junior guard Alyssa Polimeni had eight assists and six steals on the day for Ursinus, who led by as much as 23 points in the second half. The Bears outscored the Red Devils in the paint by a 40-24 count and junior forward Elana Roadcloud had ten rebounds for the Bears.

Ursinus will host Washington College on Tuesday night.
