Women's Basketball falls to Cabrini, 76-59

RADNOR, Pa. – Cabrini's Amber Keys scored a game-high 20 points as the Cavs (8-3) defeated Ursinus (3-8) 76-59 Monday night in women's basketball action. 

Ursinus was led by 12 points off the bench from Hannah Kelly, while Caroline Shimrock and Jessica Porada each scored 11. 

Ursinus led early in the contest, taking a 6-5 lead with 17:54 left in the game on a jumper by Shimrock. After a Keys layup with 17:51 left make the score 7-6 in favor of Cabrini, the Cavaliers led the rest of the way. 

The Bears would get to within a basket with 12:28 left in the first half on a free throw by Alyssa Polimeni to make the score 17-15, but, would not get any closer in the first half. 

Trailing at the half by nine, Ursinus used two foul shot by Polimeni with 18:02 left to get back within four at 38-34. Cabrini would then outscore the Bears 21-4 over the next nine minutes to put the game out of reach. 

Porada had a game-high ten rebounds, while Gianna Pownall had six assists for Ursinus, who goes to Dickinson on Saturday.
