Women's Basketball takes out F&M, 66-51

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Paced by a double-double from junior forward Jessica Porada, the Ursinus College women's basketball team won its second straight at home defeating Franklin & Marshall 66-51 on Tuesday night in a Centennial Conference contest.

Ursinus (3-4, 2-2 Centennial) got 18 points and 16 rebounds from Porada, as the Bears led wire-to-wire and led by as much as 24 points.

Sophomore guard Olivia Kane had 12 points off the bench, with junior guard Alyssa Polimeni scoring ten for the Bears. Junior forward Alana Roadcloud had ten rebounds for the Bears, who held a 53-48 edge on the glass.

Franklin & Marshall (0-6, 0-3 Centennial) got 11 points from freshman guard Anajha Burnett and ten points each from sophomore forward Sarah Haddon and junior guard Emily Wetz.

Ursinus opened the game on a 25-5 run and never looked back, taking a 21-point lead at halftime. The Bears held the Diplomats to just three field goals in the first half and 0-for-6 from the three point line.

Ursinus heads to McDaniel on Saturday, its last game before the finals break.
