Four Named to All-CC Softball Team

LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Ursinus College softball team received All-Centennial Conference honors, as announced by the league Friday morning.

Mackenzie Brennan was named to the first team, while Morgan Comfort, Alexis Miller, and Ally St. Jean earned second-team recognition.

A second team all-league performer in 2019, Brennan ascended to the first team after another stellar season in which she led the team in hits (16), RBI (12), runs (9), stolen bases (5), and doubles (3). The junior left fielder ranked fourth in the Centennial in steals and fifth in both RBI and home runs (1).

Brennan posted five multi-hit games this spring, including four in the first five contests; she was especially locked in against Washington College, going 5-for-8 with four runs scored and two RBI. Brennan is a career .380 hitter with 70 hits through her first three years.

Comfort is also a two-time All-CC selection after receiving honorable mention two years ago. A standout in the outfield and in the circle, she batted .324 with a home run and four RBI and went 1-2 with a 3.43 ERA as a pitcher. Comfort finished on a high note, notching five hits in seven at-bats in the season-ending twin bill against McDaniel while earning the win with 6.0 strong innings in the opener.

Comfort finished her career with 93 hits, a .323 average, 21 doubles, 7 homers, and 51 RBI. She also totaled 14 wins with a 3.21 ERA and 69 strikeouts across 39 appearances (23 starts) in the circle.

Miller proved an effective arm in her first season as a starter. She went 4-1 with a 4.08 ERA, racking up four complete games across six starts. Miller's best start came against league champion Gettysburg, when she tossed a shutout to lead the Bears to a 2-0 victory.

St. Jean was sensational at the plate, leading the team with a .393 average and a .452 on-base percentage. She registered a pair of doubles and five RBI, and five of the junior's 11 hits on the year came in Saturday's finale as part of a 5-for-7 effort against McDaniel.

Additionally, senior Heather Lazer was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Lazer posted a double and six RBI in eight games this season.
