Men's XC Named All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS –Ursinus College men's cross country was named an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the organization announced recently.

For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. The Bears were one of 172 Division III men's programs to earn that distinction. Ursinus compiled a 3.44 team GPA, led by Jesse Wun's perfect 4.0.

Additionally, Marcos Maciel and James McDaid were named All-Academic Individuals. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet. Maciel (78th) and McDaid (89th) each cracked the top-100 of at the NCAA Mideast Regional, which featured more than 350 competitors.
