Men's Cross Country finishes sixth at DVC Invite

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's cross country team opened the season with a sixth place finish at the Delaware Valley Invitational with a score of 187.

Senior Sam Stortz (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) paced the Bears with a 15th place finish overall with a time of 30:00.99, followed by freshman Vincent Flood (Jamison, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) at 30:21.69 in 21st place.

Third place on the squad went to freshman Jason Rudich (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) at 32:26.10, followed by freshman David Slade (Abington, Pa./Abington) at 33:46.95.

The final scorer for Ursinus was junior Charles Wacker (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) at 34:03.92, followed by freshman Nolan Davi (Yardley, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) at 3:11.67.
