MXC third at Del Val Invitational

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's cross country team started the season with a third place finish at the Delaware Valley Invitational by scoring 66 points.

Junior Sam Stortz (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) was the top finisher for the Bears as he finished third with a time of 27:34.19, which was 29 seconds behind the top finisher. Sophomore Jatin Narang (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) was fifth overall with a time of 27:41.

Junior Mark Gapinski (Sinking Spring, Pa./Holy Name) finished third on the team, and 16th overall, with a time of 28:43.84.

Senior Bogdan Lisachenko (Philadelphia, Pa./J.R. Masterson) was fourth on the team and 20th overall with a time of 29:21.57. The fifth finisher on the team was junior Amos Almy (Charlestown, Maine/Foxcroft Academy) with a time of 29:36.95 and was 25th overall.

Ursinus will be at the Misericordia Invitational in two weeks.
