Men's Cross Country sixth at Delaware Valley

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Ursinus College cross country teams opened the 2010 season at the Delaware Valley Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The men finished sixth with a total team score of 51 points.

Sophomore Sam Stortz (Dresher, Pa./Upper Dublin) was the top finisher for the Bears, finishing in 11th place with a time of 27:55.86, followed by freshman Jatin Narang (Germantown, Md./Clarksburg) in 14th place with a time of 27:57.34.

Senior Jeremy Garavel (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow) finished in 30th place with a time of 28:59.30, with freshman Sean Delany (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim) in 39th place with a time of 29:35.99.

Sophomore Mark Gapinski (Sinking Spring, Pa./Holy Name) finished in 54th with a time of 30:05.87, followed by sophomore Amos Almy (Charleston, Maine/Foxcroft Academy) in 68th place at 30:47.45.
