Men's T&F Competes at West Chester

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's track and field team continued its outdoor campaign with a well-rounded effort at West Chester's Bill Butler Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Zach Crebbin continued to impress in the long jump, moving into a tie for fifth in the Centennial Conference with a mark of 20-10. The rookie edged out his previous season best by an inch and placed third overall in the event.

Freshman Octavious Carter notched another impressive time in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 11.29 seconds. Carter already ranks second in the conference with a PR of 11.20.

Most of the Bears' action was in the field. The squad brought a contingent of six for the javelin, where sophomore Mike Felix finished second with a 176-3. The conference leader, Felix's mark was 12.50 feet shy of his personal best but still cleared the second-placed athlete on the outdoor performance list.

Junior Austin Bittenbender placed third with a 159-7, and freshman Nick Galbraith was fifth at 153-4. Sophomore Riley Grourke (139-10), junior David Lippe (132-10), and sophomore Adam Zucker (99-11) also competed for Ursinus.

Sophomore Griffin McMann registered a new outdoor PR in the shot put with a 47-1.75, good for third on the CC charts. Galbraith logged a 38-4.75, and sophomore George Psaradakis garnered an outdoor best with a 36-6.75.

McMann narrowly missed a PR with a 131-1 in the discus.

Galbraith's toss of 104 feet, 3 inches was a new PR in the hammer throw, where Psaradakis posted a 111-4.

Freshman Gary Nagle cleared 11-11.75 in his pole vault debut.
