McMann Wins Shot Put at Keogh Invite

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Sophomore Griffin McMann won the shot put with a new personal record for the men's track and field team at Haverford's Keogh Invitational.

McMann's heave of 47-10.5 was nearly three full meters clear of the runner-up finisher and moved him up to third on the Centennial Conference indoor performance list. McMann garnered 10 points for the Bears, who placed fourth in the team standings with 56.5.

Junior Austin Bittenbender put up a pair of personal bests in a strong afternoon, ascending to fourth in the conference with a mark of 21-8.25 in the long jump. He also clocked a 52.78 in the 400-meter dash, which ranks just outside the top-15 in the CC.

Freshman Kenyon Sprankle recorded PR's in the 200 (24.84) and pole vault (10-11.75). Fellow rookie Jose Morales notched his own individual best with a 24.71 in the 200.

Junior Brody Johnson's 11.07 in the 60-meter hurdles was good for a new personal standard.

Freshman Zach Crebbin registered a 6-0.75 in the high jump, where he currently ranks third in the CC.
