Relays Shine in Frank Colden Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The mid-distance relay teams for Ursinus College men's track shined the most in the Frank Colden Invitational at the Floy Lewis Bakes Center.

The 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams each earned impressive second place finishes. The 4x400 time of 3:33.09 earned runners' up among 11 relay entries. The 4x800 time was 8:39.25.

In the 800 meter, juniors Andre Kelly and James McDaid finished 4th and 6th respectively with times of 1.59.12 and 2:02.12. Kelly's sub-two-minute time was quicker than his top time.

Freshman Octavious Carter finished 6th in the 60-meter event with a time of 7.13. Carter just missed his best time of 7.09.

Sophomore Griffin McMann tossed his way to 6th place in the shot put with a throw of 46-4.75.

Freshman Marcos Maciel placed 14th in the mile (4:38.02). Macial trimmed more than seven seconds off of his previous best.

Juniors John Delia finished 18th and Logan Mazullo finished 22nd in the mile by posting season bests. Delia posted a 4:39.94 and Mazullo came in at a time of 4:43.43.

Sophomore George Psaradakis and freshman Nick Galbraith finished 16th (36-9) and 17th (36-3) in the shot put respectively.

Ursinus competes at the Boston University Invitational next weekend.
