ANNVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Griffin McMann posted a massive season high in the shot put to lead a small contingent of throwers for the Ursinus College track and field teams at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley on Friday.
Competing deep into the night, McMann hurled the shot a total of 44 feet, 9 inches to finish just six inches out of first place. The toss moved McMann up one spot into fourth on the Centennial Conference indoor performance list.
Fellow sophomore George Psaradakis registered a mark of 34-7 in the shot put and a 30-6.25 in the weight throw, which was good for eighth overall.
Senior Mikaela Bordonaro advanced to second in the CC with a toss of 41-1.50 in the weight throw
Junior Sophia Simoes also posted a season best in the shot put with a 35-6.75 to place fifth and improve upon her fifth-best conference standard.
