Kelly, Lent Lock Up All-CC Status

LANCASTER, Pa. – Ursinus College men's track and field student-athletes Connor Lent and Andre Kelly obtained All-Centennial Conference recognition for their performance at the CC outdoor championship.

Kelly was awarded second team status for his silver medal in the 400-meter dash, while Lent received honorable mention for claiming bronze in the javelin. Both are all-conference performers for the first time in their career.

Kelly, who had already recorded a PR in the prelims, dropped his own personal standard by almost a quarter of a second to 50.10. The sophomore finished behind only Johns Hopkins' Zach Shelley, who was runner-up at last year's outdoor meet as well as this year's indoor edition.

Kelly's medal was his first career individual award at a conference championship meet; he placed fifth in the 400 at the indoor meet and 10th in last season's outdoor championship.

Lent paced four Bears in the top seven in the javelin with a third-place heave of 174-9.00, a PR by nearly five feet and sufficient to collect his first career medal at a conference championship meet. The senior also scored in the decathlon, placing seventh overall.

Sophomore John DeLia was nominated to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
