Blickle Announces Ciccoli as New Assistant

Collegeville, Pa. Ursinus College track and field head coach Carl Blickle announced the hiring of Tom Ciccoli on Wednesday. Ciccoli will work alongside Coach Miles Burrell in developing the throws program, as well as assist Coach Blickle with the multi-athletes.

A 2012 graduate of Monmouth University, Ciccoli successfully competed in all the throwing events (shot put, discus, hammer, javelin, and weight) while earning a BS in Health Studies. The former Hawk was a three-time NCAA Eastern Preliminary Quaifier in the shot put, a four-time IC4A All-East honoree four, and also garnered two All-North East Conference selections.

Ciccoli is a King of Prussia native and looks forward to becoming a member of the staff and "producing conference champions and beyond." He has previously spent several years coaching shot put and discus at the high school level through Train Hard Win Big Inc. under the guidance of Barry Swanson. There, Ciccoli guided several high school throwers to national level marks, including Ursinus freshman Sophia Simoes.
