Men's Track and Field competes at TCNJ, Penn Relays

In the final week before the Centennial Conference Championships, the Ursinus College men's track and field team competed at both the Penn Relays and The College of New Jersey Invitational this past weekend.

At the Penn Relays, Jequan Mitchell, Darius Jones, Tony Sierzega and Patrick Mekongo broke the school record at 1:28 at the 4x2, breaking the previous school record set back in 2005. They finished as the second overall Division III team.

At the TCNJ Invitational, Andrew Mackin finished seventh overall in the 400 with a time of 51 seconds, while Sierzega went 12th with a time of 51.6. Mackin's time was a personal best and Sierzega did a season best. Erich Keyser ran a 51.8 in his outdoor debut and it was a season best.

In the 800, Nolan Davis went a season best at 2:04 while Mitchell Kelly ran the 800 for the first time and went with a time of 2:08.

In the 5K, Joseph Iuliucci was fifth overall with a time of 16:11 just off his personal best. James Hartop set a new personal best with a time of 16:42.

In the 110 hurdles, Evan Shea was eighth overall with a time of 15.4.

In the field events, Shea cleared a height of six feet for ninth overall, an outdoor seasonal best.

In the shot put, Adam Myers was 12th overall with a  collegiate personal record of 43-7, while throwing a 124-1 in the discus and a personal best. Antonio Goode threw a 108-6 in the discus, a personal best and qualified for the CC Championships.
