Men's Track and Field third at Ursinus College Invitational

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – While the weather was more suited for indoor track and field than outdoor on Saturday, Ursinus got its outdoor season started with great performances at the Ursinus College Invitational. The men finished third with 99 points.

Joey Brodsky was eighth in the 100 meter dash at 12.13.

In the 200 meter dash, Darius Jones was second at 23.67 and was also second in the 400 meter dash at 51.91. Richard Schulz was fourth in the 400 at 52.76 with Jordan Grannum sixth at 53.28.

In the 800, Andrew Mackin was third at 2:08.23 while Vincent Flood was eighth at 2:16.69.

In the 1500 run, Sam Stortz was fourth at 4:22.19.

Vincent Flood was second in the 5k at 16:51.82, while Amos Almy was third at 17:18.59. Jason Rudich was seventh at 17:50.82, followed by James Hartop in eighth at 18:02.01.

In the 110 hurdles, Evan Shea was fourth at 17.02, Erich Keyser was sixth at 17.84 and Chris Flood was seventh at 21.26.

The team of Andrew Mackin, Joey Brodsky, Nolan Davis and Jordan Grannum was second in the 4x4 relay at 3:39.71.

Jones was third in the high jump at six feet even, while Shea was sixth at 5-8.

Chris Rountree was fourth in the long jump at 19-11, with Brodsky fifth at 19-09.75.

In the shot put, Brian Clancy was sixth at 41-09.25 followed by Brett Smyers in eighth at 39-09.25.

Smyers took a sixth-place finish in the discus at 97-11
