COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Two weeks before hosting the Centennial Conference championships at Patterson Field, Ursinus had one last meet on their home track and won both sides of the Grizzly Invitational on Saturday.

The men were tops with 239 points.

In the opening 100 dash, Lance Jones was second at 11.33. Jones also took second in the 200 dash at 23.35, while Miles Perkins was fourth at 23.70 and Ian Wiggins was eighth at 24.17.

Ursinus went 1-5 in the 400 dash as Darius jones was first at 49.77, while Al Desiderio was second at 50.85. Perkins was third at 51.14, with Richard Schultz finishing fourth at 51.77. Wiggins took fifth at 53.39.

In the 800, Charles Wacker was second at 2:09.75, with Nick Pane going third at 2:12.12 and Bogdan Lisachenko fourth at 2:13.61.

Lisachenko was first in the 1500 meter run at 4:17.58, with Adam DiCaprio second at 4:20.41. Pane was fourth in the event at 4:30.54, followed by Wacker in fifth at 4:37.02. John Schroder was eighth at 4:44.33.

In the 110 hurdles, Joseph Murray was third at 18.53, while Anthony Gochal was fourth at 18.62.

The Bears won the 4x1 relay as the team of Desiderio, Darius Jones, Lance Jones and Kevin Cox was first at 43.48. The team of Ethan Wright, Andrew Levy, Chris Flood and Chan Lee finished fourth at 47.05.

In the 4x8, the team of DiCaprio, Lisachenko, Wacker and Pane was first at 9:24.43.

In the high jump, Darius Jones was first at 6-4.

Gochal won the pole vault with a height of 11-05.75.

In the long jump, Anthony Nienius was second at 19-8 and he also finished second in the triple jump at 40-09.75.

In the shot put, Andrew Carr was second at 45-01, while Brian Clancy was third at 43-03.75. Marquis Wilson took fifth at 42-00.50, with Brett Smyers in sixth at 40-02.

In the discus, Lance Jones was fourth at 113-02, while Wilson took fifth at 108-05 and Smyers was seventh at 104-06.

In the javelin, Wilson was second at 177-06, Chris Salaga was third at 170-08, Gochal was fourth at 165-10, Lance Jones was sixth at 157-09 and Brian Mehmet was eighth at 148-03.
