SENIOR (2021): Made program history with fellow captain Matt Fontanese as first doubles team to earn first team All-Centennial Conference honors after a 5-2 spring campaign ... Only losses came to Dickinson and Johns Hopkins ... Fell three points shy of an undefeated season ... Pulled out breakers against Gettysburg (4/10) and Muhlenberg (4/20) ... Finished 24-9 overall with Fontanese ... Finished 1-6 at No. 1 singles ... Received Director of Athletics Award ... Repeated on Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll 

JUNIOR (2019-20): Finished 5-4 in singles, including a 4-2 mark in dual matches at No. 1 ... Won a 3-setter against Penn State Abington (9/23) ... Captured four straight wins before falling in a third-set tiebreaker in finale to Piedmont (3/12) ... Partnered with Matt Fontanese to become first doubles team in program history to reach the quarterfinals of championship doubles at the ITA regional tournament ... Finished 5-1 in duals at No. 1 doubles, with only loss coming to Johns Hopkins ... Repeated as Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll nominee

SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Took over No. 1 spot in singles lineup, going 9-10 overall with two Centennial Conference triumphs ... Finished a team-best 11-5 at No. 1 doubles with Matt Fontanese ... Recognized on Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete

FRESHMAN (2017-18): Turned in a sensational rookie season while playing No. 2 in both singles and doubles ... Finished 15-3 overall in doubles, one shy of the single-season record, and went 12-2 with Peter Shields ... Only two doubles losses came to Johns Hopkins ... Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week on February 26 ... Posted a key 9-7 victory over Dickinson (4/7) and won 8-5 against playoff-bound Washington College (4/18) as part of a doubles sweep ... Compiled an 8-8 singles record, including four straight wins in March ... Prevailed in three sets at Muhlenberg (4/3)

Before Ursinus: Two-time Colonial League champion and 2016 PIAA state doubles champion at Salisbury High School ... PIAA District XI singles and doubles runner-up as a senior ... Took third place in PIAA state doubles tournament as a sophomore ... Also a member of the soccer team, which won the District XI title in 2017

Personal: Born April 29, 1999 ... Son of Michael Groff and Monica Yurconic-Groff ... Mother was a member of the women's tennis team at Lafayette ... Has two siblings, Mackenzie and Madelyn ... Sister Mackenzie played soccer at Ursinus ... Business and Economics major

Why Ursinus? When I first visited the campus, everyone was so welcoming and nice. It felt like a very close-knit community and it had a family feeling that I liked. I liked the many options that the school had academically and athletically, allowing me to focus on my academics while also being a part of the men’s tennis Team. I was also familiar with the school because my older sister goes here, so I knew from her stories how amazing Ursinus truly was. I knew that it would be a great fit for me.
