COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team produced an unrivaled display of dominance in Thursday's home finale, sweeping past Immaculata without conceding so much as a single game in its last non-conference match of the season.

The Bears won every doubles match 8-0 and each singles match by 6-0, 6-0 or 8-0 score lines in improving to 8-10 overall on the season and securing their third non-conference sweep of the year.

Sophomores Mason Groff and Matt Fontanese (No. 1), junior Connor DeFaber-Schumacher and senior Jake Lachowicz (No. 2), and freshman Simbarashe Kanjanda and sophomore Kyle Bookman (No. 3) all picked up shutouts in doubles in a matter of minutes.

Groff (No. 1), DeFaber-Schumacher (No. 2), and Fontanese (No. 3) dropped only a handful of points in matching 6-0, 6-0 routs on the top three singles courts. With the result already locked up, Kanjanda (No. 4), Lachowicz (No. 5), and Bookman (No. 6) played 8-0 pro sets.

DeFaber-Schumacher's doubles victory was the 29th of his career, moving him into a tie for 10th in program history.

The Bears conclude their season with a Centennial Conference match at Washington College on Saturday.
