ITA Atlantic South Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Ursinus College men's tennis team marked a historic occasion on Thursday as senior Max Oberholtzer became the first player in school history to earn a regional ranking.

Oberholtzer checked in at No. 22 in the latest Atlantic South Region singles rankings. The senior is 7-4 overall and 6-3 in dual matches at number one singles this season. He is one of five Centennial Conference players to appear in the rankings, joining Vishnu Joshi (No. 13) and Eric Yoo (No. 17) of Johns Hopkins, Mark Fallati (No. 5) of Swarthmore, and Josh Moskovitz (No. 16) of Haverford.

Oberholtzer, who fell by a 6-3, 6-4 count to Fallati on Thursday, figures to get a few more cracks at regionally ranked foes over the last three weeks of the season. The Bears are still set to face Johns Hopkins, Haverford, and Wilkes – whose top player, Courtney Murphy, is slotted 18th.

A two-time All-Centennial Conference selection in singles, Oberholtzer is fourth in program history in total wins (71) and singles wins (39).
