Men's Tennis takes down PSU-Abington, 8-1

ABINGTON, Pa. – Led by seniors Jason Zerbe (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) and senior Josh Hollaman (Stratford, Conn./Bunnell), the Ursinus College men’s tennis team (2-4) raced to an 8-1 win over PSU-Abington on Thursday afternoon.

Zerbe won his match at fifth flight singles, 6-0, 6-2 over Hu Young Kim, while Hollaman defeated Ross Raddi at number six flight singles, 6-1, 6-0.

The two also teamed up at number three flight doubles to defeat Kim and Matt Wolff, 8-2.

Junior Kevin Dean (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Township) picked up a win at number two flight singles, 6-3, 6-1 over Nigel Hopkinson, while freshman Chris Wyshock (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) defeated Matt Stainthrope at number three flight singles, 6-0, 6-3.

At number four flight singles, freshman Sean Kelley (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) defeated Artem Busorguim, 6-2, 6-4.

At first flight doubles, senior Bennett MacLaughlin (Gaithersburg, Md./Bullis School) and Kelley defeated Glen Seeberger and Hopkinson, 8-4. At number two flight doubles, junior Greg Lewis (Syracuse, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) and Wyshock defeated Stainthorpe and Busorguim, 8-2.
