Men's Swimming Lands Four on All-CC Roster

LANCASTER, Pa. – Four members of the Ursinus College men's swimming team collected All-Centennial Conference honors following their performances at the championship meet.

Junior Jacob Menzer earned first team recognition thanks to his gold medal in the 500 free, while senior James Callaghan (400 IM), sophomore Michael Prior (200 back), and freshman Ryan Carkhuff (100 free) received honorable mention for runner-up finishes.

Menzer garnered just the sixth gold medal in Ursinus men's swimming history with a first-place swim in the 500 free, touching first with a NCAA B-cut mark of 4:33.25. He is the first Bears' gold medalist since William Benn (100 back) and Callaghan (200 fly) in 2017.

Callaghan, who won the 200 fly two years ago, picked up his third career silver medal in the 400 IM with a school-record time of 4:04.49.

Prior earned a second straight silver in the 200 back with a big program record, clocking a 1:50.35 in the prelims.

Carkhuff was runner-up in the 100 free with a record-breaking time of 46.14 and also won bronze in the 50 free with another new school standard (20.92).

Senior Johnathan Myers was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
