LANCASTER, Pa – Ursinus College men's soccer goalie Tyler Lewin was named Centennial Conference defensive player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.  

Lewin played a huge role in a pair of matches for the Bears this week, collecting two saves in a 1-1 draw vs Scranton. Then on Saturday, Lewin and the Bears defense shutout No. 5 ranked Johns Hopkins 1-0, for their first win against the Blue Jays since 1994. The junior goalie made five saves against the Blue Jays and was counted on often in the second half, securing his sixth career shutout.  

Lewin and the Bears will continue play tomorrow night on the road at Muhlenberg.
