Men's Soccer Downed By Gettysburg in Season Finale

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's soccer team wrapped up its season on Saturday. The Bears went down 2-0 before coming within one on a goal from Aiden Cooper to fall 2-1 to the Bullets.

Both teams traded early shots and the Bears earned a corner kick, but were unable to convert. The Bullets opened up the scoring in the 27th minute to go up, 1-0.

Gettysburg continued applying pressure in the second half, opening up with three shots in the first ten minutes of the half. The Bullets put one past Tyler Lewin in the 56th minute to take a 2-0 lead on a cross fired from the right side.

The Bears finally answered in the 72nd minute when Aiden Cooper scored his third goal of the season to make it 2-1. Looking for an equalizer, Griffin Bower sent a shot on goal that was turned away by the keeper and then in the game's final minute, Mike Buck sent a shot high over the crossbar.

Ursinus was outshot 20-6, including 9-3 in shots on goal.
