Men's Soccer Shut Out at Stockton

GALLOWAY, N.J. – The Ursinus College men's soccer team was unable to find its goal-scoring form in a 4-0 setback at Stockton.

The Bears (3-2), who had racked up 11 goals in winning three of the first four games of the season, managed just four shots against a strong Ospreys squad sporting a 5-1-1 mark.

Stockton got on the board first in just the 8th minute and added a second tap-in goal just over five minutes later to open the floodgates. The Bears' resistance broke just 19 seconds before intermission, when Drew Ruble found the back of the net to make it a 3-0 game.

Stockton tacked on a fourth goal in the 70th minute to cap the scoring.

Marco Grenda had two of the four shots for Ursinus and joined Joe Kilday in putting one on target.

Tyler Lewin finished with three saves in goal.

The Bears open Centennial Conference play next Saturday at McDaniel.
