CARLSLE, Pa. – The Ursinus College men's soccer team traveled to Dickinson on Saturday, falling 2-0 to the Red Devils.

Keeper Vince Maiorino and the Bears (3-4, 0-2) played a strong match against a program that has reached the Centenial Conference title game in each of the last two seasons and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. Maiorino continued his strong play of late with eight saves, shutting out the Red Devils attack into the final seven minutes of the match.
After battling all match, Dickinson (3-4-1, 1-1) broke through with a goal in the 83rd minute. Moments later, the Red Devils sealed the victory on an insurance goal with two minutes remaining in regulation.
Sophomores Ben Amaral, Justin Molyneaux, and John Romero took three shots apiece for the Bears, who were gunning for their first victory in Carlisle since 2001. Will Bracken and  Ian McManness scored for Dickinson, which held a 16-13 edge in shots and prevailed late despite playing the entire second half a man down after a player was sent off for a red card in the 38th minute.
The Red Devils have appeared in the conference playoffs five years running and received votes in the NSCAA preseason poll.
Ursinus is now 3-4, 0-2 this season. The Bears will look to snap a 14-game winless streak in conference games as they host Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday, September 28th. Match time is scheduled for 7:30 P.M.
