WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus junior midfielder Justin Mendez (Philadelphia, Pa./The George School) scored with just over nine minutes left to go in the match as the Bears (2-8-5, 0-4-4 Centennial) tied McDaniel (3-8-5, 0-5-3 Centennial) 1-1 in Centennial Conference men's soccer action Saturday.
McDaniel scored in the 20th minute to take a lead as Greysen Brockbank scored on an assist from Storm Robinson.
Ursinus owned a 14-10 advantage on shots and a 7-4 edge on corner kicks.
In goal, junior Vince Maiorino (Mount Laurel, N.J./Bishop Eustace) made five saves in the tie.
