Men's Soccer blanked by Haverford, 3-0

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Two goals by Haverford's Brady Seitz, who also added in an assist, helped the Fords (9-6, 4-4 Centennial) get one step closer to the Centennial Conference playoffs with a 3-0 win over Ursinus (6-7-3, 3-4-1 Centennial) on Wednesday afternoon in men's soccer action.

The loss damaged Ursinus' bid to get into the Centennial Conference playoffs, but, the Bears still have a chance to make the tournament for the first time in school history. The Bears will have to either beat nationally-ranked Muhlenberg on Saturday, or tie with the Mules and have Johns Hopkins, Swarthmore or Haverford and Gettysburg all lose.

As for Wednesday's match, Seitz scored at the 39th minute and the 56th minute, while assisting on Dorian Wirz goal in the 50th minute.

In goal, Brian Gately made two saves.

Saturday's game at Muhlenberg is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
